Environmental issues and climate change are rising to the forefront of our daily awareness with a new sense of urgency. Politics is influential in instilling systemic change; however, art is more powerful because it start with conversations and inspires a personal and emotional connection between the work and the audience. My exhibition, catalog, and poster designs create that space for viewers as an invitation to propel the much needed climate conversation and inspire action towards sustainability.

The gallery walls play with the concept of scale to emphasize the magnitude of the climate crisis and use the same colors extracted from the book and posters as an extension of the overall branding decisions. 

This book design highlights six prominent artists who explore topics related to the environment and natural vs manmade materials. The green color, body text scale, and book size relationships are designed so that the dense material is approachable for any reader.

Using colors from the same color palette as the book, these poster designs aim to promote the hypothetical exhibition while highlighting the works of a few artists featured in the book. The exhibition is expected to be hosted by the Exploratorium in San Francisco, CA.
